Adult dating website, AdultFriendFinder.com, was recently compromised by hackers and data of about 3.9 million users have been affected by the breach. Information exposed in this massive cyberattack include email addresses, usernames and passwords, birthdays, sexual preferences and other sensitive information that is all too revealing.

Yet another security breach has been reported. US cosmetics retailer Sally Beauty Holdings is investigating a possible attack on its payment systems after a year of experiencing a data breach. Last year (March 2014), the company has reported that hackers have stolen sensitive information from over 280,000 payment cards and have released these details on black market websites.

Physical stores have become victims of customer credit and debit card breach. In the last year, there were about 20 retailers compromised by a major security threat, this is according to a study by security firm BitSight. In a survey of 300 retailers by the same firm, it was revealed that 58 percent of the companies had worse security performance than in 2013.
